Didn't it take about a year for the MTW clones to start spinning out from other companies? I imagine it will take longer for anyone to make a medieval clone with RTW battles. Once the mod machine cranks up, I bet someone will make an excellent MTW type mod off of the RTW engine.
I would love some MTW with RTW graphics - a few of the new RTW gameplay features might be good too ;)
Truth is, I loved MT not only because it was (and still is, as far as I'm concerned) the best game I've ever played. The fact that it was in a Medieval setting really appealed to me. I'd love to be able to take the extra gameplay and graphics of RTW and apply it back to that.
