need help to use Xpak extractor

I've downloaded the Xpak extractor, but when i click on the application, it come out and DOS window, ask for "type any key to cont...", I type anything, then nothing happens.

I vaguely remember there was some discussion about this, but I couldn't find.

Could someone help please?

Well in the readme it says to run the bat file not the application....
