any work-around for the stamina bug?

The stamina bug is really annoying me now and I would like to do something about it. Anything other than turning on Arcade mode would be fine.

The best possibility is if there's a file somewhere that relates the decription of 'good stamina' to its effects, and if there's a number there like '+1' there then I change it to '-1' instead, or even 'no effect' would work too.

If that's not possible I'm thinking possibly of modding all the units to give stamina bonus to all units that don't have it, and removing it from the ones that do. Or just remove it from all units entirely since keeping stamina the way it is is far worse than having no stamina 'bonus' at all.

To me this is just an intolerable bug now and I'm willing to go to some lengths to figure out how to repair it. There has to be a way. Maybe some modders could figure it out.

The bug I'm talking about is where all stamina effects are reversed in the game. Units that have 'good stamina' effect actually lose stamina faster. For instance, your general's horses have "good stamina" therefore if you run your general across the map with his troops, when they get to their destination the general will be exhausted while his troops are only winded. It is extremely annoying once you know about it, and I believe there has to be a way to mod the game to work around it.

For now, I opened export_descr_unit.txt and did a global substitute:

:%s/, hardy\|, very_hardy//

In vim editor this removes all instances of hardy or very_hardy from all units. I dunno if this is the best way to do it but it'll work until I figure out something better...
