*The Great Battle: Must See!*
Well, I have the replay as well, mabye I'll figure out how to upload it, although the battle itself was rather a big flank but never reach flank which would have if it successful resulted in about 5 to 10 thousand more deaths, but oh well, here's what still went down, on the day the Barbarrians decided to unite together as one to defeat those dastardly Romans from encrouching upon their foul lands.
After the long battle, these are the results. Not only do you get to see the kills & deaths, but you get to see what could possibly be, the most kills ever for a single unit!

And here, notice on the top, the General's Body Guard, over 1,000 kills and no losses! At least I think they recieved no losses, but still most intriguing!

If popular demand is enough, I'll get the reply here, somehow I'll figure it out lol, I know there was a big thing about it here previously, so that should help should you choose to want to view it in the future, that is if I get enough popular demand to upload it.
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
What types of units were you fighting?
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
26300 men? At what settings, and what framerate? Egads, man! Your specs please?
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Hmmm the shots are crossed out... I'm not seeing them, in fact I can't see your sig either.
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Yea, they were all up just a few minutes ago, hm. I'll have to check into that, GeoCities is the hosting for them, so its with yahoo & should be up shortly. If my SIG is too down, that means that it must be a problem with Yahoo itself & their servers, they should be up shortly, if not, I'll upload the pics to a new server.
I was useing like, Urban Cohort (first time) with 250 man units, the frames were VERY slow at first, but after 45 minutes the battle was over, and was the funnest one I've ever done! Yea it was laggy, very choppy, but still went through well, considering the my latest biggest battle was only a mere 3,800 men & my PC nearly froze on that one, and this time it was 26,294 men, and ran pretty well!
I'm going to go do one with like, 10,000 men vs. like, 2,000 of mine, see what happens, hehe, or mabye 15,000 vs. 2,000, make it more interesting.
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Rome replay upload tool
sounds good, i'd like to see it,
cheers,
B.
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Ahh now the pics are there.
The units were modded?
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
No they werent modded... I went to custom battle, & picked mostly all of the 250 man units, on huge mode. I'll try to upload the replay, but its not that exciting itself, just the numbers of it was the fun part. Just your typical I attack my guys win, and then move on to my allies to flank them, and so on, average battle, just HUGE in scale.
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Ehehe, i just had a battle that almost rivalled siris'. It was about 22000, with nearly all of the options such as 'grass quality' at high. It was a bit laggy, but still cool. One of my units achieved 547 kills!!
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Aww man, I wish I had those specs...
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
I had a battle in campaign mode where one of my roman cavaly (equities I think) units had kills of 537 men against Gaul.
I was playing (I think) on medium units that is units size of 80 for Hasiti and archers etc.
I was very impressed at the time. Although they only got marked up one point of exp. Although they did suffer 50% casualities.
Did not know you could record battles. Cool
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
Where can I find this replay??? ~
Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
The reply isnt uploaded yet, but I'll make an effort to do so this Friday if I remember, or this Saturday if I cannot do it on Friday.
But I'll pre-warn you, the fight itself wasent that exciting, I simply fought & routed my enemies, then marched on the right flank of my first allies the Scippi, and then when they routed marched to help the Bruti's, and routed them all, then put my Genearl infront of the routing column, and where he struck down so many enemies on their sorry retreat. Pretty general fight, but was so fun from the massive scale that it was employed upon. I cant wait to try out such a fight, in better conditions! Say, a seige hehe.

Re: *The Great Battle: Must See!*
your captains bodyguard must have needed new horses at the end. Theirs probably died of exhaustion.
