Creating new units?

Is it possible to create new units? I want to create a new roman legionary, but with spears instead of swords (otherwise, exactly the same)...

It's certainly possible; just about every mod adds some new units. Can't help you with any specifics, though. ~;p

you could do it with simple copy/paste in relevent files (export_descr_unit,descr_model_battle,export_descr_unit_enums etc),check tutorials out.I'm sure I have seen proper description of the whole process.

Right... I've added the new unit in "export_descr_unit", "export_descr_unit_enums" and "export_units" (in data/text). However I don't understand what to do in "descr_model_battle". I can now use the new unit and it looks like a legionary cohort with throwing spears (I removed the legionaries secondary weapon) Ichanged their primary weapon to a melee spear... the weapon model still looks like the throwing spear and when they fight the attack as if they were throwing the spears (in melee, as they can't throw them).

Anyone knows how to change the fighting movements and the weapon models?? Also the recruitment picture is that of a peasant... so I want to change that too.
