Music

Hey guys, I was wondering, does any one know how to add in new music to the game? I'm getting pretty bored of hearing the same music for all the factions and i was wondering if it was possible to at least add more tracks for the game to select from to play during the battles.

Can't you just turn the in-game music off and run Winamp in the background?

That is the easy way, but not the modders' way! :wink:

I'm doing this from the top of my head, so my be a little creative on your own side. In descr_sound_music there is a list of music, I believe that each faction/culture has its own list. Just change some entries or add new ones (does that work?), and point towards the right directory. The right directory is of course the directory in which you have placed your MP3 files. This directory should be within the Data directory. To make R:TW look for these new files, rename Data\sounds\events.dat to something crap (same effect as deleting, but now you have a backup)

Run Winamp.... tsssk! :tongue2:
