VI and/or RTW Windowed Mode

Hi All, Demok here,

I was wondering if there is any way to play VI and/or RTW in "windowed" mode. If so, i would love to know how to do so :D

By Windowed mode, i mean where it has a title bar at the top, and is played at the specified resolution and not Full Screen.

By adding a D in the commandline of the VI shortcut you can play in a windowed mode: Properties of the VI shortcut then the line \Total War\Medieval - Total War\Medieval_TW.exe" -strictserver D

But I think its a bit buggy or at least not as good as it could be, cant remember. But you try for yourself ~:)

Thanks CBR, i get it now. I wasn't sure what you meant by the script line, when you told me earlier in game. One more question, is there any way you can change the resolution in windowed mode to make the screen a bit bigger?

I may just have to do that my self, great question demok and even better answer cbr ^^

For Rome you can use:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -ne

By right clicking shortcut/leftclick properties

Although the window size isnt alterable and menus still use fullscreen.

AFAIK you cant change the window size. Its stuck at 800x600 or whatever it is.
