Anyone know any game fixing tricks? (scratches)

I bought Star Ocean 3 a couple months ago and after a couple of weeks of playing I got a tiny scratch on the disc. Doesn't sound like a big deal but know whenever I try to leave a room it doesn't load. It really sux cuz it was an expensive and I even got the guide.

Does anyone know any ways to fix the scratch? I heard somewhere there is some toothpaste trick that fixes scratches. I'd rather not have to go buy a Dr. Disc because it's christmas time and I'm kinda broke.

E-mail tech support, some companies for a small handling and shipping fee will replace the original. And if that does'nt work theres er um cough fileshare cough.

They'd replace it? Cool. Also I can't do anything filesharing because I dont got a mod-chip
