*bumped*
because I'd be very interested in a hack like this to.
Anybody? Please?
you could probably look in the program files and just delete the video altogether
You cant just delete the movie file this will cause corruption, must delete the .exe file which lets say tells the game at that point to open the movie file...
Btw this sint classed as a hack but lets say a change of files.
In MTW you could also just create an empty textfile called skipcredits.txt and place it in the main directory of the game. This would take you directly to the menue screen of MTW without all the preambles. Have not tried it for RTW though.
Great, Nigel. That is what I was looking for ~
Haven't tried Nigel's solution, but the -nm command line option turns off the movies.
Go to the shortcut properties and put -nm after it (with a space between the end of the file and the -nm (if you put in -ne and set the screen resolution of you monitor bigger than the game's you can play it in a window.)
I can verify that this solution works perfectly :charge:Quote:

Hey, barocca, who is the great lookin' kid? Congratulations are obviously in order! Obviously, I haven't been paying attention recently. ~
ah, I didn't know that.Quote:

but -nm works beautifully. It does even stop the background animations in the options screens.
And Barocca, congratulations for the new family member. First in the new year?
May he be a worthy heir, his vices be few and his virtues be many.
