I'm trying to disable few units from being used in custom battles.I thought adding no_ custom in export_descr_unit for selected units would do the trick but RTW will not have it and CTD
any ideas ?

That's strange, It worked for me. not a typo?
Not sure Hoggy...I tried manually then I tried Caligula editor and still the same.Maybe units would need to be deleted from export_descr_buildings too ?
or maybe it is because certain Roman units like early cohorts are a must for custom games.
You could be right that certain units have to be in. I only disabled some.
another thing...I was trying to delete Numidian/Armenian/Seleucid legionnaires and replace them with different units.Again CTD but this time I guess it is all to do with strat file in campaign folder.
