Hello, May I please have some help with a problem?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I have encountered whilst modding the start parameters for the Julii in the Imperial Campaign.

What happens is, when I try to load the Imperial Campaign with the Julii, the game won't load, and it tells me that "Lucius the Great is a named character has no father and is not married, and therefore has no links with the family tree". Here is the extract from the descr_strat.txt file:

I have modified all of the starting land generals character's traits and added 2 new provinces to the Julii at the start, as well as beefed up the armies of each general (I was doing this for a bit of fun). I have also descreased the age of many of the generals so the live for longer.

Quick guess: You need to specify Lucius as "heir" just after "named character". Also make sure the "ages" within each family are reasonable (eg. minimum of one year between children and a child is at least about 16 years younger than the father and about 12-14 years younger than the mother).

Unfortunately, that did not work, but thanks for the advice.

The error message keeps comming up saying: "Lucius the Great is a named character, isn't the faction head, has no father, and isn't married, and therefore has no connections with the family tree, which isn't a good thing. Only the faction head (or dead leader) can have no father."

Last suggestion before you have to rebuild the "family" from scratch. Does each "relative" line have a "space-tab" before you start the names?? Good Luck!

First (dumm perhaps) doubt: Are you sure that Lucius the Great is from the Julii family? Is it called the Great because of their skills?

In case all that is correct, the only possibility I can guess is that you miss some tab or space.

Suggestion: make another file eliminating the traits and work with it until you find the lost space/tab.
