Sacred band to swordsman. Please help needed

I can't get them to work.
I did all the changes in the exp desc_unit.txt and the Battle_model.txt, and what I get is the sacred band using the spears as if they were swords, with the sword values, but still graphically an spear. Plus they lost the sword as a sidearm, which was expected, of course.

The point is, that changing sword to primary weapon replacing spears, and eliminating athe fs_spearman in the Battle_model.txt, doesn't make the sacred band into a sword unit.

There have to be another txt file that define which unit uses sword or spear.

I mean, the Carthaginian Sacred band, since it shares its files with the armored hoplites, already have all the graphic files necessary to be a sword unit, so its not like the unit doens't have the files.

There have to be file that makes a unit graphically use spears or swords.

Does anyone knows?

Did you change the 3D model in any way ?

When you build an RTW CAS file, the weapons are atached to the hand bones as 'primary weapon' and 'secondary weapon'.

By changing teh stats, you have changed the effectiveness of the weapon, and by changing the skeleton, you have changed the way the skeleton is moved...but to actually change the weapon model you see, you would need to edit the CAS file.

Removing the secondary weapon means it will no longer draw that part of the model, but it still draw primary weapon...which is the spear.

How can I do that? Where are those files? What I have to change?

OK..to fix this, you are going to need to have 3DS Max, the CAS plugin, and the PAK file extractor.

If you are stuck with any of this, I might be able to find 5 minutes free to swap the weapon over. Removing the spear and re-naming the sword as primary weapon should do the trick.

Let me know what the actual CAS file name is ( should be in the 'model_battle text file ) because I am not sure exactly which model you are wanting to change.

Then you can add the new unit and hopefully, have it work!

Just let me know what file you want changed, and where I can send it ~D

Thanks man, I'll check it up went I get home.
The two unit I wanted to change were greek_armored_hoplite, which is the one used for the Carthaginian Sacred Band, and carthage_heavy_infantry, which is used for both the Libyan spearmen and the Poeni Infantry.

Because these files are used in more than one unit, I'll see if I can cut and copy the CAS files, rename to a new unit, and then modify.

I'm not sure of the proper names, so I'll check it up when I get home.

Bwian , the CAS is greek_armored_hoplite.
I tried to changed it, but I couldn't get it to work.
If you have a chance please help me changing it from spear to sword.
