Are you talking about that their always lined up in one line?
I was under the impression that it was their fighting style and superior tactics that made the roman empire. Hasataii at the front, then the Princapeii and then Triarii.
no i have the real one from RTR velites first hastati 2nd principe 3rd triarii 4rth and cavalry flanking but thats the point this way your just waiting for your death
Yes, in the game it will cause casualty in your army but that same formation made the Roman Empire 2000 years ago.
Well considering you only have 20 units, 4 lines put's you in a bit of column formation, wich was a deadly formation to be in when the battle started. Now if you had 400 units in a line that was 4 deep would give you a pretty flexible army. A shallow line leaves you open to vulnerability where any gap made could be exploited quickly. Where as a deep line (4 deep) with a gap has another 3 units to deal with. My exp with the game is a 2 deep line, 3 if you count skirmishers is the best anymore than that you'll find your frontline getting mobbed by the comp.
maybe but i still think it sucks though the 20 vs 400 does count in the game you wil be easily surrounded
