i can not for the life of me get the -show_err command to work at all in v1.2
"F:\Program Files\Activision\Copy (2) of Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err
i copied and pasted this from the target line of my shortcut. it worked just fine in the last version. i would just like to know if anyone else has gotten this to work in v1.2
I had the same problem trying to get the battle editor to work using copy & paste, just type it and see if it works, it did with the battle editor command. ~D
It's working for me in v1.2. I had to re-add -show_err to the shortcut after installing the patch, but it definitely works.
make sure u have a space between the dash and wat is currently on the command line
