List of fan made bug fixes?
Where can I find list of all workable fan made bug fixes for the bugs that can be solved by editing text files? (since I don't plan searching all the threads and adding them manually)
And by fixes, I mean fixes that make things work as intended and not "I don't like it, so I changed it" fixes.
For 1.2 of course.

Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
You could've gotten at least a bit more specific.
Even patch section has patches to various mods, so it's difficult to make difference between fix and something else.
EDIT:
Are Boorsok 6-bug fix and CampFreddie HA&Scarface fix all?
Could be nice to have some info like this stiked.
It's difficult to find fixes for casual players.
Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
Anything else to be finished?
I've seen that at some thread people are trying to fix poor farmer and several other traits.
Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
In the bugged traits thread, I asked for a stickied, maintained thread of these fixes, sort of like one of the guides, "Things to do AFTER installing the game". I think it got lost in the technical VnV talk though, and since I didn't offer to maintain it, my suggestion probably got ignored. ~D
This would be a very helpful thing to have though.

Agreed.
For now, I just instlled, HA-fix part of CampFreddie fixes (not whole bundle), since I'm on side of catioun.
I don't want to add new bugs accidentally.
Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
Drone, I thought that comment was probably the best thing said in that thread. CampFreddie's mod is the closest thing I've encountered to such a thing in three straight days of nearly full time forum crawling in search of exactly what you asked for: one thread, agressively policed, where fixes are described for things generally agreed by the community to be broken/not W.A.D.(working as designed). A similar thread could/would/should be set up for things that are not W.A.T.S. (working as they should), since this would be much more subjective. The notWAD thread might ultimately for the basis of a community defined "patch" similar to Neverwinter Nights' Community Expansion Pack: a set of changes unofficially endorsed by the publisher but created and maintained by the community. The Org, with the link off the main site, seems to me to be ideally suited to orchestrating such an effort. Mods, are any of you crazy enough to take up this flag and lead the crusade?

Not ignored, I've been pondering it. It'd need to be closely watched, I feel, so that it becomes as clear as possible i.e. suggested fixes don't become clutted up with questions and other points. If there is interest from those working on this issue, I could open up an Ludus Magna thread for research into various solutions. Once it was finished, I could arrange for it to be stickied in the Colosseum.
Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
I would probably go with both a thread and a controlled patch with the modified data files. The thread would discuss the changes (to the point where the players could do them manually), while the files could be downloaded for the timid or lazy.
I haven't tried multiplayer with modded files, but I get the impression that all data files need to match (don't know how this verification is done). The downloaded patch should be written (if possible) to work in multiplayer mode if all players have the patch installed.

Very closely watched and moderated. I can definitely see the thread being hijacked to discuss realism and "feel" issues, which would be harder to get a community consensus on.
Now all I need is time. Anyone know how to mod about 6 more hours into the day? I could remove the girlfriend, that would probably do it! ~D :whip:
Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
Ludus Magna would be a grand place for it if you're up to it, therother. The crowd there seems to me to be a bit more mature and to have a better understanding of the scientific method, both of which would be helpful in maintaining the desired tone and content of the thread.
Re: List of fan made bug fixes?
Well, okay then. Thread opened.

That's a pretty easy fix. Look in preferences.txt and set HAVE LIFE to FALSE.
Hey presto...
