uuu and i got a screenshot if anyone can tell me how to put it on here.
Hi,
They are only available in High and Late periods (after 1205). They can only be built by the Polish in Poland and you need a horse breeder - but it sounds like you got that part covered.
HTH,
Yeah I was looking on the tech tree - and it shows horse breeder and poland, (and you have to be playing the polish faction) - but nothing about the time period - would have been nice if they had included that in the tech tree ~D
:charge:
Wat a bunch of swindlers. thats why i couldnt build my favorite ponies. thanks anywho. time to go and skip a lot of turns in early period.
:charge:
uuu and can u still build Polish ratainers after you upgrade your horse breeder to a horse breeders' guild?
:charge:
Yes. Same goes for any unit after you upgrade the building. You can always build the lower units from it that were available before. Unless it becomes unavailable because the age doesn't allow it. Like Byzantines cannot build Varangian Guard in Late Era.
unrelated question, Who is better armored spearmen or feudal sergeants? i know what ur thinking yeah Polish retainers but between those who is best.
:charge:
Feudal Seargeants:-
Charge 5 Attack 0 Defence –1 Armour 1 Speed 6, 10, 11 Morale 2 Cost 200 Support cost 62
Armoured Spearmen:-
Charge 5 Attack -1 Defence 2 Armour 3 Speed 6, 10, 11 Morale 0 Cost 250 Support cost 50
As you can see Feudal seargeants cost 50 less but require 12 more upkeep per turn. They have rubbish attack but not as bad as the Armoured guys. But The Armored guys have Higher defence and Higher Armour. However the morale is better for the Feudal Seargeants. Just depends what you prefer really. However:-
Rus Spearmen
Charge 5 Attack 0 Defence 2 Armour 3 Speed 6, 10, 11 Morale 2 Cost 325 Support cost 62
These seem to be a mix of the best traits of both (if you can get them that is ;) ). More expensive but definately worth it.
[Data taken from the Unit Guide by frogbeastegg]
what faction are the rus spearmen for?
:charge:
Novgorod, early only.
what about fyrdmen? compared to the others?
:charge:
You should really learn how to use the Unit Guide for yourself. Look up the stats for a particular unit and various bonuses, look at the terrain where they are employed (desert or green hills really makes a difference) and see how they can be matched with different types of units in maneuvers. Every unit has its distinct advantage which can only be exploited in conjunction with those of other types of unit. Trial and error will complete your, um, education. It takes a while, but it's worth your time and energy.Quote:

To that, does anyone know where i can find a good MTW:VI printable tech tree that is not adobe and also a good unit stats look-up-mobober?
Check for the unit guide in the main hall, it contains a link to a tool that allows to compare all MTV and VI unit stats.
Yeah i did that but found that all of the material was crappy black and white box diagrams. Im talking about good quality stuff.
