Okay, I had this idea posted to another site, but since this is a more experienced and skilled one, I will put it here as well so that you guys can work on it.
Now, we were lookng for a way of having horses mountable and dismountable. I had thought that reskeletoning and modding some of the siege weapons into horses (or camels, elephants etc.) would enable the soldiers to mount them and dismount.
However, you would have them dismount only when you ALT+ attack something since all siege weapons are ranged. (I am talking about onagers and ballistas) Or would it work better with siege weapons? But they would be built in turns then right only when you siege. But onagers would work good if programmed well - they would die seperately from the soldier on top etc...
Just and idea worth working on. I can't help with the modding though - I am not good at it. Did someone have this idea before?
