on't you miss the old factions, re-emergences and civil wars of MTW,

I think that it would be a lot cooler if new factions emerged, in addition to the game's preset ones. Just think of it, for example, if rebels stayed independant for 20 years or so in say, Calabria. After that, the game selects their faction flags and colours from random selection that does not
interfere with any current faction. Their base culture can be chosen by location and their units could be drawn from random selection by factions that were initially at or near those locations.

Another option is that they get recognised by neighbouring countries. However, it is easy to see how hard this is to program and how easy it is for the player or even the AI to abuse.

I guess the almost impossible programming that this requires makes it hard.
I guess another problem with it is the faction limit ~:eek: :dizzy2: ~:confused:

Don't you just hate the faction limit, :furious3:
for one, it limits great modders such as RTR. :bow:
Why is there a faction limit? (not rhetorical I actually want an answer)
