Gates...why are they open?!!
Can someone please tell me why when i get sieged and am being attacked by the Spanish is Narbo Marcius(sp?) that my gates are alwayyys open! They are not damaged, I am not sallying forth, they are just open, ive battled there at least 5 times by now(and won each one) and the gates are always wide open. BAH!I am pissed!I guess ill just have to kill the spanish so they wont attack there anymore. :charge:
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
You have an enemy spy in your city.
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
Its true, simple as that really.
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
Must be a good one if the gates are always open.
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
You could use it to your advantage- pick up some merc phalanxes, post them inside the gate and wait for teh spaniards to impale themselves on spikes as they all surge through the gates. ~:)

My thoughts exactly. Well they were until i met the Gaul tanks :charge:
Phalanx? What Phalanx? :furious3:
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
That happened to me and I was royally pissed, until I realised I had to put my own Spys in the City to eject him. Once that happened a few times I realised I then needed an assassin to kill the little bugger so he just didn't walk straight back in.
He was a Briton Spy and he was damn good. Sometimes the AI is very good like that.
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
With the 1.2 patch, I see a LOT of agent activity on the part of the AI factions.
Re: Gates...why are they open?!!
Yeah, I've lost at least 5 family members in my capital recently in my current campaign :help:
The only city that can build assassins is under pretty much constant seige or repairs/retraining.
The one I did manage to build was useless & got killed after several misses :embarassed:
