Re: Where the Piramids promised ARE????
Hmmm... while this is technically a question and might conceivably involve modding somewhere down the line, I would suggest Prometheus that you might find your desired vitriol in the Colosseum.
Good Luck!

Re: Where the Piramids promised ARE????
What he means, is that there is a possibility that this apsect of the game could be modded, and some better pyramids made.
But, failing that, this isn't the place for moaning and complaining unless it is your intention to do something about it. If you want to complain about being 'ripped off' then the Colosseum is the place set aside for that sort of thing...Gladiatorial combats ;)
This is the modding section .... here, we make things better!
Re: Where the Piramids promised ARE????
Ive been wondering the same thing about the Pyramids for a long time now, i guess let us know if you are able to mod in some better ones.
Re: Where the Piramids promised ARE????
The ones that were promised to us are there, you can place them in the battle editor. Dunno if it's a bug with campaign files ~
Re: Where the Piramids promised ARE????
It might be your graphics settings - perhaps they're not all up at max?
Re: Where the Piramids promised ARE????
I've done some digging and found out what's behind this.
On the campaign map you can see the strategic models for the Wonders block the tile they're placed in so that you can't move an army into the same square. If you mod the game so that an army starts there then you won't be able to attack them and fight a battle there.
So, the only time we can see a Wonder is from an adjacent tile which is what Prometheus has done in his first picture.
When viewing things from an adjacent tile - whether they be Wonders, cities or just even terrain - the game generates its background from the campaign map. The crude pyramids in Prometheus's post are in fact just the strategic model.
So changing the pyramids you see is a matter of trying to edit the strategic model.
As The_Mark says, the real Wonder models are available within the battle editor. So I've put together this Proper Wonder on the battlefield minimod that allows you to fight in and around these real Wonder models during campaigns. It's just an initial beta release as to open up the correct tiles I had to remove the strategic models - meaning that they don't appear on the campaign map, on adjacent tiles and the bonuses no longer apply.
There are easy ways around some of these, but nothing that caters for everything just yet. All ideas welcome.
