Why am I suddenly being assaulted by Trivial Pursuit LOTR pop ups (about 4 pop ups per click between topics at present)? This is annoying. A curse on the house that first spewed this bile!

I've experienced that as well. That is a topic for the Watchtower however. Moved.
Ahh, OK.
Never been in the Watchtower before. It's interesting. I can't see very far though.
Oh, is this the Org's advertisement? Or is it Spyware? Because it's making me extremely mad. :furious3:
You see, my computer has a weird problem that it will always "halt" when a new window is opened. So every stupid pop-up and I'll have to wait for my computer to settle down. :embarassed:
I believe it's spyware. Kill it! :help:
Thank you for your patience, moderators.
I use firefox and don't get any pop-ups. ~D
Crazed Rabbit
Don't close the add, it won't popup again if it's already open
The food is horrible too. This is where they put away the worst offenders. Wait till Warden TosaInu gets hold of you.Quote:

Well I have to correct myself this pop up is verocious and leaving it open won't save you from the lag. The lag is worse than 10000 men on the battlefield with RTW
Use the Google toolbar, or another pop-up blokker.
and use Ad-Aware to scan your pc for spyware...
dont use tool bars ppl....
most of the time they are spy ware them selfs.
I would use ad-aware and the new microsoft beta scanner,
I get no popups on this web page at all,
My sp2 stops popups, my pest patroll stops popups and spy ware, and so does my kerio personal fire wall,
None of which report any popups even atempting to open on this web site.
so its a good idea to scan your pc for malware right about now.
Use firefox

Trivial Pursuit has gone away to be replaced by another. And Firefox seems to get hit with an even more annoying type of ad that can't be closed.

Mozilla is untouched (untouchable?) FWIW...

i haven't had any pop-ups when visiting this forum or topic! ~:) ~
i use pop-up blockers though...
I use firefox.
If getting popups still, you might want to check through the opitons a bit.
I particularly like the ability to reliably disable cookies to all but a few selected sites (eg the .org for login)
My yahoo! browser stops any popups when its on high. When i had it on medium i was also bobarded by the LOTR popups it wouldnt go.
