What type of mouse pad do you use?
After seeing the 'what type of mouse do you use' thread, i thought it would be a good idea to set up this one. The mousepad i use is a nice fabric one. It is circular, and at one end has a big gel thingy to rest your wrist on. The underneath has some weird rubber stuff for good grip on your desk.

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
i have a really cool one by Falcon Northwest. its not cloth but hard and gritty. you can spill drinks on it and wipe it off and don't have to worry about a thing. there is no reason it would ever need to be replaced.

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
Hm....there seem to be a lot of naked desk people here....
-
Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
Add me to the naked list !
Mousepads just screw optical mice up.

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
Mousepads don't screw my mouse up. Although, occassionally, my mouse will get stuck in the corner of the screen, and no matter how much i shake it, it refuses to move.

That sounds alot more like a mouse problem, i think i had the same problem in a fps, my mouse would get stuck or something and i would look straight up and rapidly spin around in circles.

for my "gel thingy" (to rest my wrist on) i use my cat ~ ~D

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
My mouse doesn't need a gel thingy, your whole hand rests perfectly on it, it is the last word in mouse comfort IMO.

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
I actually use something called, in England, Bacofoil. It is just shiny metal foil, which I folded over and stuck to the desk. It is amazing when you use a ball-less mouse, the mouse just glides over the surface, but I tried it with a ball-mouse, and it could not get any grip. So, the moral of this is, do not use a ball mouse with Bacofoil.

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
Bacofoil? What the heck is bacofoil? I've never heard of it...

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
A Japanese import with this picture on it.

Bacofoil is just foil, but made by the Baco company. Okay, that was a load of rubbish, it is hard to explain, it is just a really frictionless foil, which makes it perfect to be used as a "mousepad" you get lightning quick reaction times with it, unless you have a limp wrist or somesuch.

i live in England but i've never heard of it... sounds cool ~ ~ ~D ~;)

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
I use a wireless, optical mouse
so no pad
ichi

Re: What type of mouse pad do you use?
No pad, except when I happen to have a reflective desk surface. Then I just grab any old thing to provide an opaque surface - the cardboard sheet at the back of an A4 pad is quite good...

Well, because I am anally retentive in regards to just about anything, I would direct you to this website:

See, if Melted Cheese does not stick to it then a mouse will glide across with an action as smooth as a baby's bottom. :charge:

same ~ i find its comfotable, doesn't affect my mouses performances atall and still allows me enough room to move it around.
