My new favorite battle

bridge defense.

My army:

8 heavy ornagers firing flaming ammo.

3 pharoes bowmen

8 pharoes guards(utterly useless)

1 general

there army:irrelevant

The enemy lines up under fire from my 16 catapults. They take some significant losses and then storm across the bridge. Of course as they get to the bridge they bottle up on their side... and 3 or 4 shells land in their midst. AHAHA. what carnage. Couldnt see the ground it was so thick with burnt bodies. The disordered remnants that made it across the bridge came under fire from my archers and crumbled. i think one cavalry unit touched the line of pharoes guards and then instantly routed.

I lost a couple of the generals cav chasing down retreating units...

they lost about 2000 men. One of my ornagers had 425 kills.

Yea I always did this after suffering a particulary nasty set back due to some nation's decision to assault my ships carrying a large army. I'd just set their army on random, didnt matter what they brought though, for in the end I could gaze upon their charred remains with glee.
