Lies and Propaganda
Funny little thing happened in a new game as Brutii:
I sieged/attacked a Carthagian city with 3 generals and various troops, all controlled by me - my faction heir and 2 other family members (I believe his brothers). During the attack, a tactical blunder got the faction heir in trouble, and I watch his red number dip, dip, dip, down to 3, 2, 1, and his icon disappeared. Ah, well, for the glory of Rome, and whatnot. :charge:
I never, however, got the "heroic death", but didn't think much of it, but I did get the "New Faction Heir" event message. Later, I looked at the Family Tree to see who the new Faction Heir was. Looking at the old Faction heir, who was greyed out, I see "Died Peacefully, 260 BC". What?
Lies, damned lies and propaganda! He died winning the freedom of Sicily!
Anyone else encountered this? I thought it quite funny.

Basically, if he wasn't in command, he "died peacefully". The game cannot recognize it as dying in combat.

Re: Lies and Propaganda
its a shame when that happens because all generals deserve the credit if they died on the battlefield rather than dieing peacefully...

Re: Lies and Propaganda
Even when you have an family member on a ship and the ship got sunk by an navel attack he 'died peacefully'. He died that peacefully you don not even get a message.
