Dead mans shoes: Anyone seen it?
This film is amazing, probably only the British patrons would have heard about it or seen it. It tells of a man who returns to his home town to take revenge on drug dealers who have ruined his mentally handicapped brother. This film truely is one of best British films i have seen in a long time and paddy consitine is wicked as the marine gone awol in this sick piece of genius. Has anyone else seen it?
Re: Dead mans shoes: Anyone seen it?
Is it out now?
The trouble with this sort of thing is that plot sounds really bad ass if the AWOL marine is returning to, say, Chicago, but if he is returning to, say, Basingstoke its not got quite the same zing...
Anyway, if I suggest to my wife that we see it will she be OK or will I be in the dog house for weeks? She likes gangster movies but not mindless violence if that helps.
Re: Dead mans shoes: Anyone seen it?
Its better than the hollywood glamour and nothing like death wish and that sort of shite. You get a real understanding why he does it, i think you'll like it but you have to see it through, even through some of the violent bits but sometimes the violence isn't as disturbing as what happens to his younger brother and the mental abuse he has to endure.
It out now to rent or buy.
Re: Dead mans shoes: Anyone seen it?
Your opinion, I am wary of. We have the best comedy known to film, but we also have the cultest cult comedy. I see you're a fan of Withnail and I.
*Though I must agree with the quote.
Re: Dead mans shoes: Anyone seen it?
Withnail and I is the one of the best films i have ever seen and one of the funniest films ever. Don't worry this film is good, a good revenge film with a twist ~D
