Invalid tile(0,0) for settlement error
I just patched up to 1.2 and now when I try to run my campaign map, I get an error message which says "You have chosen an invalid tile (0,0) for the settlement of Rome."
Does anyone have any idea about this error? The only other thing that I know is that it has the same error for the same settlement no matter where I put it in the descr_settlement files, and whether it is the (senate) capital or not.
Well, I removed Latium, and it then threw the same error, except that the city was Tarentum this time. Unfortunately Tarentum is somewhere in the middle of the list, so I am not sure why it is having issues.
Thanks
Re: Invalid tile(0,0) for settlement error
I had an error like that when I had an enclosed port. A port which was not on the edge of the province.
Re: Invalid tile(0,0) for settlement error
Seems that its named the same as a nother place id guess,
cant guarantrtee im right cos i havent tried,
BUT. i make terains for aces high and for that when i make an air feild,
they haft to be
(country , building) I.e
germany is country 1 hand has 3 bases so.
1st base would be (1.1) then 2nd (1,2) and 3rd (1,3)
then other country being country 2 is (2,1) (2,2) (2,3)
And so on,
I dont know if this works the same, as i havent started using it yet,
But hope that this gives you a nother option as to what may be wrong.
Shambles
Re: Invalid tile(0,0) for settlement error
I think that it might have to do with corrected_regions.tga, which has a lot of cities which are touching the sea on an entire side. Was corrected_regions added in 1.2? Since I never saw it before.
Re: Invalid tile(0,0) for settlement error
I found the error, and it was being caused by corrected_regions.tga
Apparently this file had deleted the tiles that contained Rome and Tarentum when it when through to fix areas which are really sea and should not be part of a region.
corrected_regions.tga might be a good thing to add to campaign map editing tutorials, since it can really mess the game up, and it is new to 1.2 as far as I can tell.
The only problem is that no I get CTD no error message when I run it. Grrr. Why would it work once and then not again.
