Supreme Ruler 2010
Modern strategic wargame:

And a recent preview:

Looks good for those wanting a massively detailed strategic game on a grand scale. I'm really interested in the trade/politics/economy engine that they've created. The amount of units and variety of tactics available seem to make for some great replay value.
Those wanting superb 3-D graphics need not apply. ~:)

Looks like it could be good. I will have to keep an eye out for it, thanks!

Re: Supreme Ruler 2010
I don't know if I like their politics, but overall it looks cool.
Is that cell-shaded? Weird. Never seen a cell-shaded strategy game before...
The thought of not having turns bothers me. I could never really handle Victoria: Empire Under the Sun because it seemed so fast... even on the slow settings.
Oh well. :duel:

Alexander: You can play it in turn-based mode, they just have emphasized the real-time (for multiplayer games in particular).

Re: Supreme Ruler 2010
The game is out now. I'm haunting my local EB and endlessly annoying the clerks for when it arrives in store.
Check out www.bgforums.com. The forums are small, but the development team is by far the most involved out of any company I have known. There's usually 3 or 4 answers by devs on each topic. Talk about supporting your fans. ~D

Re: Supreme Ruler 2010
i loved victoria, for the reason that it was real time, i played on the fast setting, and the game was insane, you'd sit around for ages, and then all of a sudden you are at war and you spend three minutes waging war, where if you were slow and sluggish you'd get the sharp end of the stick or you'd control half their country with their armies split up and destroyed.
my favorite game of victoria was a multiplayer lan game we had, 15 years of war... between the major powers of europe.
thanks,
