Spend some time reading in the mod forums and talk with the masters in there. You may want to dig into the Library, where the archives are stored. The glory days of Shogun are long past so so have to dig a bit to find good info. I haven't had the time to get into modding, so I can't help you. But there are many here who can, so just mix it up m8.
