All my screenshots are completely black, there`s no contrast at all!
Any ideas why it is that way? ~

We'll need to know a few things -- which app are you using? Rome? Medieval? Shogun? Also, knowing how are you taking the screenshots would be great.
I am playing Rome TW, using patch 1.2, on windows XP.
I use the printscreen button to take screenshots. I have tried to change the screenshot-button, in case it was the button that was bugged. I also changed options in preferences.txt, but nothing helped. :embarassed:
Sorry I took so long to get back to you, Viking; I've had a bit of a time tracking this one down, and a lot of the answers seem blatantly wrong. Just one more question -- can you see the extension on the screenshots? Meaning, are they saving as .tif or .jpg or .gif or what-have-you? If you can't see the extension, follow the following steps:
start/control panel/appearance and themes/folder options/view/hide extensions for known file types
The last one should be a checkoff box, and you want it to be un-checked. Now you'll be able to see how the files are saving down.
Next question would be which app is attempting to open the pics. I'm guessing that your machine is routing the images to an incompatible application. The way around this is to hold down shift and right-click the file -- this will give you "open with" as an option. From there you can specify a better image program, which might or might not be able to handle the pic.
Please let me know if you have any joy with this. If not, I'll keep looking.
Oh, and if you don't have something like Photoshop lying around, you can always download a freeware image converter. I'm an idiot for not mentioning that before.
I am not online that often so i haven`t noticed any delay in your answers ~:)
The screenshots are saved as tga files.
I open the tga files in PictureViewer, a program that followed QuickTime.
I have opened tga files in PV before without encountering any problems, and
the images are still black using IrfanView.
All the images have same file size(2 035 kB), wich means that they all contain the same data.
So i don`t think the problem lies in what program i open the files in.
Anyway, thanks for paying attention!
If you want screenshots you have to either have a screenshot capture program or
TURN off antialiasing.
Any screen shots take with AA on will come out pitch black
If you want AA on use fraps grab click save or another program that can capture screens
Thanks!
What is antialiasing? Does my graphics get worse when I turn it off?
AA is designed to improve game preformance,
Usualy your gfx card can enable. disable. run at a constant speed, or let Aplication decide,
Personaly I do not see much difrence with AA being on or turned off,
Hopefully some 1 els can give you more detail.
