I can't find any threads or posts?

I can't find any posts or threads I made by clicking on my name and to check and see where they are?I am on other boards and some the same as this and I can find all my threads and post.How do you do it for this board as it won't let me.Thanks

Unfortunately the forum search is offline. There are some tips for finding lost posts towards the bottom of the Guild FAQ, located in the Entrance Hall.

Are you looking for any thread in particular?

Go to the Forum that you are interested in, for example I post a lot in the MTW Main Hall.

Scroll down to the bottom of the thread list and look for the little buttons that allow you to customize the threadlist.

Select the mode that sorts threads by thread starter. Set the time period back as far as you are interested - say one year or all the way back to the beginning.

Now flip through the pages until you get to your name, and there will be a list of all the threads that you started in that forum.

That's the best technique that I have found.

This what I am referring to.When I click on my Name to look for my threads or posts and I get this all the time.I can do this on other boards and I am on other vb boards.
Age, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Log Out Home

The "Find all posts by" function uses the board search engine. This was disabled because it was causing severe disruption to the server.

How do I find any of my previous post or threads if I can't do it in my profile as I am registered?Thanks

This is another vb board that I am on and it let me view all my previuse thread and posts.

Hi Age. As I've said above, the software required to allow you to search for your posts was causing severe problems with the Org's server, taking it offline a few times and causing general mischief throughout the board.

If you tell us a bit about the threads/posts you want to find, we may be able to help you out.

Thread I would like to see replaced is the one on the florins and getting your Viking ships across the channel or sea as it may help others out.I don't know the name of the thread exactly but that is the what I can come up with are How tos and there was helpful info in there as well.Thanks.I was checking some of the archives out and saw some thread I reconize.
How come you archive thread from say a month or two ago?I am on other boards and moderate actually almost assitant admin. aboard and we don't archive any threads even before the new install of the deleted board there where some thread going to 2 or 3 years long story as it was deleted.Take a look.

Hi Age. There are two things going on here, so I can see why you might believe that the search function is restricted. The first is the board permissions to use the search. Currently only staff have them, as TosaInu (our Forum Administrator) was testing a possible method for getting the search function back without crashing the board. This is why you see the unauthorised access page.

The second thing is the search function itself. This has been completely disabled for everyone. No member, whether Junior, Senior, or Staff, can use it. The reason why it needs to be disabled, even with such a small pool of users, is that it puts stress on the server even if no one is searching.
