Re: map: road connections?
I've been gone for a while; what exactly is the problem, and what is the solution?
Re: map: road connections?
in the RTR map, there are several cities that logically should have roads between them, but instead do not. in the thread i link to, i've tried my best to explore some of the reasons, and how to fix them.

Re: map: road connections?
Basically, the story is this. Road paths (as you doubtless know) are generated automatically based on terrain and so on. In general, every settlement will be connected by road to the settlement of every adjoining province, as well as its own port. If the entire border between two provinces is impassible, of course, there is no road connecting the two. However, sometimes a road doesn't even connect two provinces that have unobstructed borders. This can, in some cases, make troop movements inconvenient. It can usually be fixed by simple tweaking of the province borders. Similar problems can arise with a settlement not being linked to its port. It may therefore be a good idea to quickly look over your map with roads constructed in every province, checking for missing paths.

Thanks, we'll keep an eye out for this.
