I just type in random letters. Its how I got Hiji...
I wanted something with Byzantine and I didn't know what to put it with so I just put prince for no reason.
local reasons ~:)
''Ah Dai'' is an approximation of little brother in cantonese...my cousin couldn't pronounce my name so ke[t saying ah dut...and it kinda stuck
because i like to command people
Erm, I was young, played cossacks and wanted to register on the official forums. so I wanted something "cool" and because Paladin was already given away, I had to think of another one. Well, I liked hussars in Cossacks, they were decent and fast cavalry, so I chose that name.(Husar is german for hussar). Since then I sticked to that name, except if it´s already given away, then I use KarlKarolinger, which consists of Karl from "Karl der Grosse" and Karolinger which is the family-line he came from(I think, had to do with MTW a bit as well).
BTW: I was often asked if I were polish, polish winged hussars seem to be pretty famous(especially in Poland, they learn more about interesting history in school than we do I guess).
My name on here is Mikeus Caesar, which i made when i was 10 and started playing AoE Multiplayer with my Dad. Obviously i needed a name and my real name is Michael, so i used this, but usually my name is Currywurry. That came about on 16 February 2002, when i needed to register with a game, Tribes 2, and me and my Dad tried dozens of names before we eventually tried Currywurry, promising ourselves that if it didn't work, we'd give up. But it did work, and i've been Currywurry ever since!
I was always interested in Alexander the Great.
Craterus was one of Alexander's best friends and commander of part of his army. Although he began as an infantry commander, he went on to command the Companions', the legendary Macedonian cavalry. I prefer commanding cavalry so I chose Craterus to be my name.
hmm already thought that was it
By adding the title "King" to my name (which seemed a good idea at the time, what with MTW, and King Malcolm III Canmore being of that time and all), although I think Duke or Marquis sounds better, and wish that it was one of those but I don't know how to change my name...
although i'm relatively big, my name is not john. "big john" is just a personal concept that i find entertaining. he's kind of like a big lumberjack-looking brute that ploughs through life without concern. probably slightly inspired by the "men's movement" book by robert bly, iron john, which i found rather funny, iirc.
It was origionally Caporegime, which I just alywaysed used. Then, around the time of the beslan hostage thingy, Pape called Me Capo of Arabia, because I was like KILL THEM ALL AHHAHAHAHHHHHAHAHAHA! then just recently i decided to up my rank as a celebration for 1 year here.
Next year: Reichsfurher-SS of Arabia ~D
I got it from a book I was reading when RTW was about to go out. IIRC, I've been browsing the .ORG since early 2001, so when I decided to register, I found the latin theme name appropriate. ~:)

Nope, not Harry Potter. ~:)Quote:

Well, I got this name when I was 12, and played a game called Sacrifice. It was about a wizard throwing spells and creating havoc, and when playing multiplayer I needed a name... the rest is history.
Nowadays, online, I use a whole variety of names, since I often think I finally got the name, and then think of another that's better, etcetera. Currently it's my old nick poweRof]cheese, which was originally a smurf account, and my clan name Phat.T. The latter coming from the fact that my friends call me 'Bolle', which is Dutch for 'fatso'. Dunno why though -- I'm not a fatso at all. *shrugs*

A long time ago I once signed up to a message board of a website called 'nuclearspace.com' and I wanted to select a user name somewhat related to the subject. I had recently watched 2001:A Space Odyssey, so it seemed like the most obvious choice.
My name is Martyn, which comes from the Roman/Latin name Martinus.
by the way, how do pronounce Martinus?
Is it:
Mart-inus
Martin-us
Marti-nus
or something else
The second one, I think.Quote:

I couldn't be bothered to type it all out again, so I tried to find the thread I answered this question in, over at the .com (one of the few posts I have made there in the last couple of months). Anyhow, here is my answer .com answer , and the 828 is from my car registration number, because someone had already chosen Pausanias here.
You know what though, it would have been quicker just to type it all out again, oh well.
Mar-TEE-nus. ~;)Quote:

Odd.
The name of my nationstates nation state was the grand duchy of the tokai (a tokai is a creature from the legend of zelda: oracle of ages) and i created my org account a few minutes after i had logged in. So I sort of automatically typed "the tokai" without really thinking about it.
pseudorandom consonant-vowel-dipthong combinations, based on a linguistic recombination of audialy pleasing verbalizations. :dizzy2:
