I went to watch that live once. It is pure brilliance. Shows it doesn't take fancy gadgetry or gizmos or celebrity endorsement for a lot of people to have a damn good time.
you're right, but it might take a lot fancy gadgetry to repair the fractured limbs ~;)Quote:

I like cheese!
I would love to do this one day. Along with running with the bulls in spain.
Ohhh i love a good broken limb. ~
Well done to everyone who took part in the madness. I think it would be a great sport to bet on, I think the commentry would be groundbreaking as well.
As well as being a great British sport, it is one of the best sports in the world. Shame, it doesn't get TV coverage...oh well. It is my aim to one day partake in this stupid but fun sport.
Betting would be like betting on the lottery. I think there have only ever been a few occurances in history of the same roller winning the competition twice. Should definately get TV coverage though, but I'm frightened that if that happened, it would become too comercialised with the licensing fees. They'd probably try and institute a round-robin structure, with the winners advancing to the European Champions League of Cheese Rolling. Then it would be marred with controversial issues like drugs and tapping-up of rival clubs' rollers.
What is your favorite kind of cheese? I like plain cheddar, or mizithra(sp) cheese with browned butter on spaghetti noodles.
