Unit limit

I know its been reported that MTW has a unit max of 256 because the deadpagecoords.txt file can't handle more than 256 units. But, mounts, ships, and agents are not counted in the deadpagecoords.txt file. Does that mean one can have up to 256 battlefield units in addition to the agents, ships, and mounts? Or is it flat out set at 256 units, no matter what they are?

IIRC, the 256 limit is correct. If you add more than this to the units text, the graphics link will loop, and unit 257 will show up on the map using the graphics for the first unit in units text.
