In my currently unfinished Greek long game, I make about 50,000 denarii a turn.

I have done the same as you and played a long unfinished Greek game, only my trade income at one point during the game was six times larger than yours at its peak, at Dn300,000 for approximately 7 turns.

I've only got about a quarter of the map under my control right now (and about ten cities are still recovering from extermination - damn barbarians), so that's probably why.
