getting rid of some of the annoying messages

Is there an easy way to mod out the "Day is Ours!" and "Our soldiers are at the gates!" etc ?

I briefly played the spqr mod and I seemed to remember that they were not present there in that one. I'd like to play the more plain vanilla game, but get rid of these annoyances.

I'm not at my computer but in RTW Data folder there's a file called export_desc_sound_battle_event.txt (might be wrong, but it has the words 'sound' and 'battle event' in it). Just find it and replace it with SPQR's.
