Does the voice of the "announcer" for Roman armies during battles annoy anybody else? He sounds like some American teenager. Victoria and the Centurion advisor have cool English accented voices, and the Seleucid announcer has a Greek affectation, so why the geeky, idiotic voice for the Romans? Yeah, a rough, but educated voice, a poet warrior. Not something that sounds like Aladdin from the Disney movie.
Victoria sounds more like an Aussie than a well spoken English lady.

I hate that stupid voice. I always get embarrassed when I hear it. My wife laughs at me and calls me a kid.
Heh, I'm convinced most of the voices in the game are there to embarass you and make you feel stupid like you're playing some kind of Mario game or something. Whenever the battle is about to end, I speed up time to triple speed - that interupts the stupid voiceover man before he can finish making you look like an idiot in front of your friends/wife/family members etc.
You play in front of people? I certainly don't. RTW is supposed to destroy your social life. It's jealous about your attention.
I think it is alright. Heck, I figured he was just a runner from the command group getting back to tell me the good news.
And I think Victoria has a sexy voice...

I really liked the catholic announce voice in MTW.
"The enemy king flees, with no thoughts of his royal dignity!"
"Craven Ho-son that he is, the enemy general flees!"
MTW voice acting was great. Shoggie also sounded good.
RTW really lacks at times this. Also, if MTW could have Latin commands for the catholic units, why can't RTW use Greek for Greco-Roman armies?

I find the voice more comical than annoying
Comedy eventually wears off and then you want to line em up and get em shot.
If it was the general doing it, i wouldn't blame the AI for charging hin into a phalanx. ~;)

I remembered they were such a great company to work with, and just great people. I always had such a good time working on Star Trek, even if it meant putting in long long long hours. Punishing hours."
She has most recently lean't her voice talents to the computer game Gabriel Knight: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned and the LA Theatre Works audio productions of an Alan Ayckbourn's trilogy, tapes of which can be purchased here. She is also a regular actress for LucasArts projects. Carolyn has the following to say on voiceover work: "it's very difficult to do voiceovers. It's much more intense. Because you're not being seen, you have to convey everything in your voice. You can't do it with a twitch of an eyebrow or a movement. You have to be so precise with your voice. So it's much more specific, and it's very hard. It's not easy. People think it is."

All the Jappo ambassadors in Shogun TW sound Japanese, the Dutch tader sound Dutch, and the Portagee sound Portuguese (he's hilarious, especially when you refuse his request and he gets pissed). Seems to me RTW could have done a better job with it's characters.
