Whoa!!
How good does Kong look?! He looks amazing and I defy anyone to say that film looks bad! ~D
That Peter Jackson uses amazing cameras. Everything looks so slick with them. This could be good.
meh, looks like a dvd rental for me. i just can't get that excited about the whole 'lost world' idea.
Looks pretty good. I can't wait till Jack Black suddenly pulls out a guitar and rocks out to king kong. Hehe
Have you ever seen the original King Kong? I can't wait until Kong eats Jack Blacks fat stupid ass.
No matter how great the actng and special effects may be they will never make a better version than the original. It an icon. Its the same as with the Honeymooners. Theres only 1 Kong.Quote:

I have seen the original Kong. I can remember 80% of it. For it's time (1933) the effects are great. Also I'm fairly certain that the director character (the guy Jack Black plays) gets killed by Kong in the end, correct me if i'm qrong Gawain. Also ignore the simpsons version where King homer eats a bunch of people. The real kong eats no man flesh, but he does stomp, toss, and crush quite a few. And he only does that when someone threatens/takes away Ann Darrow (blonde woman all versions), then he tends to go ape-shit. ~;)
Unfortunately for you mate, the other 20% included Carl Denham, that is Jack Black's character, not being killed! He comes out at the end and delivers the immortal line - "Oh no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was beauty killed the beast" ~:cheers:Quote:

Looks impresive. Looks like an action film all over. exelent!
Gah beat me to it. Thats one of my favorite lines from the movies. It was a standing joke around our house that I wouldnt cry about anything but my wife and kid would tease as I always tear up at that scene to this day ~DQuote:

I get the feeling the way Kong looks in the new version i might get abit tearful as the planes are shooting him. All I know is he takes at least two planes with him which is something. ~D
If their smart they will use some of the musical score from the original. Its one of the best parts of the movie , especially the final scene as he climbs the Empire State Building and fights the planes.
I doubt they will, but since the maestro LOTR composer Howard Shore is at the musical helm I'm sure it will be fitting.
