Can you see Area 51?
Do I need to download it?
how big is it?
Careful with the maps and co-ordinates brother, I'll bet Kaiser is fueling the V2s as we speak.
As cool as this seems, i would like to know why the hell it seems to have started off floating in space and why the hell it can't even find england.
Just what I thought lol. Anyone know the coordinates?Quote:

It's about 10mb, it streams it as you look.
All I get is a blury mess.
Hm....well, i've found the area where my house is, but all there is a blurry mess.
Hmm, some of the screenies on the website showed 3D buildings...is this only for some areas?
Heheh, i just found Big Ben. A pat on the head to anyone who can find it first and show the proof!
My house in London is just outside the detailed bit, so it is just a blur ~:mecry:
The images are also over a year old as it doesn't show the new sports hall and halls of residence at my uni.
Heh, too lazy.
You need to wait for the maps to download, is pretty quick on 2mbit. Some areas don't get that detailed, big cities seem to. So does Bagdad...
Area 51 is just a white blur because it's all built on a salt plain.
I found it. ~:)

Oh your god, that is so cool! Go to Mt St Helens, and make sure you have the 'terrain' option ticked. Then, use the tilt tool, and you can see 3D Mt St Helens! It's cool! Heheh, i think i know what i'm going to be doing for the next week or so...and btw, i found the Colosseum and the Vatican.
And this is how I find out my neighbor three doors down has had a pool this whole time?!
:angryg:

"Beta Temporarily Closed" just my luck :embarassed:
Heheh, i've found a nice way of viewing the world. Put yourself at a height of about 200-240 miles (operating height of the space shuttle) and then tilt the camera so you can see the curvature of the Earth. Then, put yourself into a slow orbit. It's the closest you'll ever get to going into space.
