I just realized something

While reading the political views topic, I suddenly realized that whenever I think about political party's in the Netherlands, I see it like this:

right_______________________________left

in my mind instead of the other way around. Does someone else have this or am I just weird?

I do have a weak theory about it. When counting up the parties I began with the most rightwing party and went left, thus the right-wing comes up on the left (as it's put first) and the left-wing on the right (counted last).

Cannot test it though as I'm aware of the theory, thus not neutral.

This must be why most parties in Europe goes towards the middle..... ~;)

I just realised I think exactly the same way. ~:confused:

Two questions: (a) do you identify more with left wing or right wing parties? (b) are you right handed or left handed?

I'm a right handed left-winger, so I'm wondering if that explains my weirdness.

Is it perhaps do with the fact that most parliaments have the semi-circular Senate shape. More often than not, one sees this from in front of the seats, where the rostrum is, so right becomes left and left right.
