Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
Im running RTW with both patches. Also i have the unlock all factions mod. However my Roman infantry units are always stuck on lowest unit detail even when i increase it. I hate this since they have spikes for feet and i know my system can handle better. Does anyone have a solution to the problem :help:
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
Could it be something to do with the patch?
Has it happened to anyone else?
PLEASE HELP NEEDED :help:

Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
It happened to me, although I rarely play RTW....
I unistalled and reinstalled RTW, then I applied the 1.2 patch. Back to normal.
For the mod, no. I don't use the mod.
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
i figured out the only way to change unit detail on romans is to turn on unit shaders. However you dont hve to for any other unit. Has anyone else noticed this? :dizzy2:
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
Yeah i've had this problem to and gets really really annoying :furious3:
I think it might have something to do with the 1.2 patch
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
Its definately to do with the 1.2 patch since i did a reinstall and checked it after the 1.1 patch and its all fine its only after the 1.2 patch that you lose the ability to change unit details on romans.
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
for the spiked feet , I think you need to turn on ANti- Aliasing ( sp? )
just check options and you'll find the option Anti-Aliasing.
:balloon2:
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
When i open the drop down thing for the Anti-anylizing thingy. The only thing there is is NONE :help:
Re: Small problem. Easy solution I hope.
Besides re-installing your video card / direct x drivers, i can only recommend making the desired changes in
PREFERENCES.TXT
in your Rome - Total War directory..
That should work. If it doesnt, try deleting that txt file (make a backup), that should force the hardware detection algorithm to be run again. (apparently, during install, it is executed, but wrongly so / buggy).
