Provincial Campaign...

Has anyone done any work in the provincial campaign area? I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but if you create a file in world\maps\campaign called provincial_campaign a new campaign mode is created, complete with menu features and graphics. If you were to, say, put in the the imperial_campaign files then it would play as an imperial campaign, but without some of the handy dandy patch 1.2 features. Was this abandoned by CA? The reason why I stumbled across this is I was trying to edit victory conditions, but I'm afraid I don't have the experience to really get going. I know CA mentioned something about this and editing victory conditions. Any information would be grealty appreciated.
