... and then the beta would take even longer to be released, not to mention that they are running out of model slots as it is.
Obviously, more factions would be nice, but even if it is possible, it would be too much work to make it worthwhile.
We are all about historical accuracy. If we see something that will be more accurate, we will look into implemeting it.
well you could just implement the extra factions into the mod for when BI comes out. That should give a bit more leeway with modding anyway.
O could care less if it takes longer, Eb has never been one to rush. RTR will suit me fine until EB comes out.
didnt EB use this idea and made the roman factions seleucid/parthia/bactria? ~
Not that I've heard of.
We might not use BI.Quote:

mmm, I think that's one of the surprises they're keeping in store, so stop asking. =) They won't tell us, so they won't tell you either. :-D
Sorry, our faction choices have been set for the open beta for months, and most likely will not be changed. The Roman setup is something we are saving as part of the release.
But are you planning to use the 2 roman slots for other 'civilised' factions (Samnites, Syracuse, Bosphorean Kingdom, etc) for a further version ?
..or the Mauryan Empire (hooray)? That would be something ~:)
Edit: Adding the Mauryans might of course make it a bit crowded in the far east, but with the unit potential..aaah.
Our final Roman configuration is something we are keeping as a surprise for the open beta, so I won't discuss any future plans (or lack thereof) until that time.
