What Are You :inquisitive:
European American.
UK, and German mainly. I can't give exact percents since I don't know enough about where the last names came from. But I know I've got a little Scottish, British and North German (Hamburg I think) in me.
Azi
I am:
5/8th English
3/8th Welsh
100%Savolainen.Savo is the one of the 8 biggest tribes of Finland.
50% Welsh
25% Cornish
12.5% Irish
12.5% English
roughly...
75% Greek
25% Vlach(Thracian)
:charge:
40% Irish, 40% American Indian, although I don't look it, 10% English, 10%French.
Rough Estimates there^
6.25% Polish, 93.75% English, as far as I know
90% Bavarian
10% Berliner *
*estimates rough, may have some Scottish/Irish blood somewhere way back
Greatest to least percentage (I don't have exact figures): Scottish, Irish, English, Norwegian and a tiny dash of Bohemian.
Although I identify most with my Irish, partly because I was led to believe I was mostly Irish and partly because I favor Ireland over Scotland.
100% Iranian ~:)
25% British
25% Norweigen
50% American (back to The Rock. Seriously.)
Add it all up and I'm 100% Canadian!
Dâriûsh:
just wondering: what sort of Iranian?
Persian, Arab etc.?
My makeup is certainly ethnic ~
50% Irish,english, scottish
49.9% southerner
.1% native american
Europeans are all a bunch of mongrels too.
I guess I'm made up of the usual mix of Celtic, Roman and Germanic blood. But there's no way to retrieve percentages.
And I know of some Walloon(?), German, Gypsy and Dutch blood in the not too distant past.
I'm tall, blond and blue/green eyed.
Some kind of Baltic/Nordic mix, I think.
Welsh, Swedish, English, Irish, Scottish, with one born in the USA and an Italian or French connection but I can't remember which.
100% Swarthy. ~
But seriously, I'm half Greek, half Italian... now grovel you barbarians! ~;)
Ok, I confess! There's also a splash of French and English blood in me but uh... my family really doesn't like to talk about that...
:hide:
My biological family is all Scottish. My adoptive parents are Australian mutts.
Boringly pretty much all English with a slight touch of Irish and Welsh.
Eurotrash: Dane, Irish, Swedish, Norweigan, German, English, Dutch, and about <1% Cree. Basically comes out to 100% Chicagoan.
40% Norwegian, 2% Danish, 8% Swedish (Danish paternal ancestry from late 18th century)
-
45% Finnish, 5% German
Approximately 100% English. No non-English ancestors known about with a family tree going back to at least 1754 and as far back in some cases as the 13th Century.
Therefore I am a Viking/Saxon/Angle/Jute/Norman/Roman.
50% Chinese, 50% Random combination of English, Welsh and Scottish - somewhere in that half, there's Norman too... but that's miles back.
Half english and half welsh with dashes of scottish and dutch and no doubt irish, norse and norman french.
I read somewhere that, interestingly, the majority of men in Britain, particularly in England and Wales were of Briton descent and that very few were infact Anglo-Saxon or Viking genetically (though this depended on location quite a bit). It said that the Anglo-Saxon invasion was very much more a cultural thing where a social elite moved over and imposed themselves and their culture on the native populace, much like the Norman invasions, but that there was no mass migration. If true this means that most English people are in fact Welsh ~D ~;)
100% Anglo-Saxon, hurrah.
(Actually my family are from Cornwall a long way back but I think we can safely say the Anglo saxon has diluted out the Celt by now)
Boring? JAG you surprise me, i was SURE you would agree with Cecil Rhodes:Quote:

Alas, George Orwell may have diagnosed your disease:
Still true today. Great man, Orwell.Quote:
"England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals are ashamed of their own nationality. In left-wing circles it is always felt that there is something slightly disgraceful in being an Englishman and that it is a duty to snigger at everything from horse racing to suet pudding. It is a strange fact, but it is unquestionably true that almost any English intellectual would feel more ashamed of standing to attention during God Save the King than of stealing from the poor box."
75/100 french, 12,5/100 swiss, 12,5/100 Turk(but that part is rather hidden by some ashamed of it & I'm therefore not sure of it). My family name comes from the Swiss part.
From Fars. So that would be Persian.Quote:
