This is a mod of RTW based on the Star Wars period known as the Clone Wars, named so because of the high use of clones under the leadership of the Galactic Republic.

Applications for the Mod

APPLICATION RULES

This is a professionally-handled modification and therefore, every aspect needs to be handled as professional-looking as possible. Therefore, this applies for application forms to join this mod too.

1.) If you are applicating for the aspect of researcher/historian, do not bother. It is too easy to find info on the Star Wars world (or worlds) these days and unfortunately we are not looking for researchers/historians.

2.) If you want to become a skinner/modeller, you need to give us a list of things you know you are capable of doing. Liers will be terminated from the team. Also, do not overrate yourself, do not say you can do something easily and when it comes to having a go, you cannot do it.
You must also show us some sort of proof of your skills so as we can see what you can do.

3.) Public Relations, you need MSN to pass on information to tell. We will moderate you and if you are doing it badly/uprising annoyance then you will be on a warning and possible exit from this mod.

4.) Coders must do the same as skinners/modellers too. If not, do not bother.

5.) All work that is given to us by people who leave is still ours as it was given to us because of that cause. Credit will still go to their creator though. Just don't ask us to get rid of them when or if you leave.

A Quick FAQ (post more if you want)

Q.) Why the Clone Wars period?

A.) The Clone Wars are an easy-to-relate-to period in Star Wars history and therefore, this is one main reason why we have chose this - the Clone Wars also supported much more land-based battles so this really helped too. It also saw a lot of large battles too, instead of smaller skirmishes like over time periods. This factor suited the game type too - Total War, as you can have large numbers of units from different factions fighting it out if they wouldn't in the 'real' Star Wars world.

Q.) Why are allies in the films having the possibility to fight eachother?

A.) You must remember, with this and all mods, you are not fighting out history. This game gives you the options to choose to fight those who are supposed to be allied - as if seeing who would win if they did turn. This, to me, is one of the most attracting things to a mod like this as you can, say, exterminate the Gungans with the CIS as if they did actually win. This is all decided by the player themselves.

Q.) When will this mod be done?

A.) When it is done. Nothing more can be said or estimated on how long it could take. We all have real lives and therefore, they are more important then this mod. Therefore, do not nag about asking when it is done.

Q.) Are you have space ships and space battles?

A.) Nope. The RTW engine does not support flying units and if it did, it wouldn't be too fun just watching some space ships fire at each other senselessly would it?

Q.) Are you having Jedi and Sith?

A.) Jedi yes, Sith no. Only two Sith were in power at this time and therefore how could they be represented? There is only one Jedi unit (to date) in the Galactic Republic army.

Q.) Are you doing a campaign map?

A.) Nope. A campaign map would look ugly and in-accurate to not feature all the planets in this engine and therefore, it has been decided that we are not having one. Custom Battles and Historical Battles - yes.


Q.) Are you having big war machines?

A.) To what I know is possible (to this date), yes. We have got a few ready to be made.

Q.) Factions, what are they?

A.) So far we have got: The Galactic Republic, the CIS, Kashykk, Naboo, Hutt Gangsters, Mon Calamari, Endor & Bespin.
