Dubya's Nickname for Rove
This is rather funny. I can't blame newspapers for not wanting to print the strips with this nickname, but I'm finding it a bit hard to believe that Dubya would use such a nickname for his buddy...
Doonesbury pulled over 'Turd Blossom'
I guess that means calling Luxembourg's leader a "piece of work" really was a compliment.
Re: Dubya's Nickname for Rove
Bush will never cease to suprise...
Re: Dubya's Nickname for Rove
My paper didn't pull it.
I don't really care, either. For one thing, it's Bush's nickname for Rove, not some left-wing smear. For another, Doonesbury is left-wing junk, even though it can be amusing. Finally, "Turd Blossom" carries the kind of rustic charm that won Bush his Presidency. ~;)
And for all you guys who will be screaming "Censorship," I have two immature internet acronyms for you:
OMFG STFU!
I'm so sick and tired of people complaining of censorship when it is voluntarily done by a private entity!
And I just know someone is going to say something about censorship. Or at least think it. Jerk. :furious3:

Too bad it wasn't because of him having some competence at balancing a budget, running a country...or running a war. Rustic charm vs. ability...hmmm, tough choice. ~D
Re: Dubya's Nickname for Rove
That sort of stuff is done by the tag team of Cheney and Rove - or didn't you hear? ~D
Re: Dubya's Nickname for Rove
if I was in power I'd be giving all my subordinates nicknames. I'd probably hope to make them the most offensive possible. If someone was offended, other than the one bearing the title, I'd tell them to cram it and pay attention to something that actually matters to people.
