War Elephants as Sparta?

Is it possible... If so, how?

I doubt they would look right as sprites.

There are elephants and chariots in HTW for MTW:VI.
As Sparta you cannot train them but recruit them as mercenaries in some Eastern provinces.

Imagine--an army of Spartan Hoplites (with some archers/slingers/peltasts, of course) supported by elephants as heavy cavalry--why, the combination would be invincible. Only a virulent plague could stop it; only the game clock could delay the conquest of the world!! Hawooh.
