Crash to Desktop when loading Campaign Map

Hi all,

I recently bought a new PC, installed XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2, and everything works fine . . . except MTW. For some reason the game crashes when loading the campaign map after trying to start a new campaign. Loading historical/custom battles still works fine.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
My system spec is:
- P4 3GHZ
- 1GB RAM
- XP Home Edition/SP2
- GeForce 6200
- 180GB HD

I know, I had this problem too. The NEW NVIDIA DRIVERS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE GAME. What you need to do is go to nvidias driver page and find where it says Archive. Then download and install an older driver.

NO, it will not affect other games so don't worry, I personally don't see a difference, but now you can play campaign mode.
