Sometimes when I play a battle, when it is loading and I get to the deployment stage, I CAN'T SEE THE MAP, UNITS OR WELL - ANYTHING.
Its just a black screen and the cursor leaves trails when I move it.
Can someone help me please, I don't want to spend hours finding a cure for this.
Hahaha... I had this problem also...
I updated the driver card. It didn't work.(I used to have a nVidia Rive TNT2 Ultra).
I reinstalled the game. It worked.

Oh, I loved my nvidia card but I don't have it anymore due to compatibility problems so I have to use a crappy ATI card.
I don't care how many extra frames per second you get with ATI, nVidia looks so much better. I have tested this.
Actually, most tests between recent ATI and NVidia graphics cards show almost no difference in image quality. And ATI drivers have proven to be much more compatible with Medieval-Total War (an older game) than NVidia's. If you're an avid M-TW player, your best choice would probably be a more recent ATI graphics card. If you're only on occasional M-TW player, but also play several newer games, then any newer video card (from either main graphics chip manufacturer) will do.Quote:
