Re: Physics and new features
Yeah.... errr... level up animations should be left to Square Enix and the like... Hopefully CA could tune it down. :dizzy2:
Re: Physics and new features
i hate it when soldiers go flying up in the air after beeing stabbed!
Re: Physics and new features
Not stabbed. Hit by a massive hammer.
But still, a man wielding a hammer surely doesn't have that much power!
Re: Physics and new features
I'm struggling to call a linear flow down the river "physics". Nice idea, but really it isn't physics. If it was physics wouldn't they end at the bottom of the river, not floating down?
Re: Physics and new features
No, because if they die outside the water, there´s enough air in the lungs to keep them floating. Only a body of one who´s drowned sinks to the bottom. Or, of course, a very heavy armoured body.
Re: Physics and new features
Who wants to volunteer and see if a cataphract sinks?

Well when they float down stream it is more of a slow spin then a linear flow and yes my friend this is called a physic.
The main purpose of this thread was to see what people thought about some of the new features that have appeared in the demo so far. What do you think about the bubbles that appear behind a unit when they swim or the sparkles that appear on the unit when it levels up in valor? do you like these features or should these features be able to be disabled.
I for one would like to be able to disable the white sonic sparkles, and also have the option to disable the bubbles but not the entire splash effect.
cheers :book:
Re: Physics and new features
Hmm, didn't catch the sparkles when a unit levels up. I must admit I don't understand that one as the game tracks exp per man, not per unit.
Floating down river though is a nice touch. Not something I do or don't buy a game for (I prefer gameplay and interface enhancements over graphical touches) but its nice to see for the immersion effect.
Re: Physics and new features
Sparkles. :embarassed:
Spin thing. :embarassed:

Oi, but when the average valor of the unit goes up (represented by the chevrons, remember, they're the average) that's when the sparkles happen.
Re: Physics and new features
maybe we cood turn the sparkles into blood! that wood be cool and realsitic.
